Governor, legislators and KU celebrate expansion of pharmacy school
Kansas has a need for more pharmacists, and today Governor Kathleen Sebelius was joined at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita by pharmacists, legislators and KU students and teachers as she ceremonially signed the bill making an expansion of the KU School of Pharmacy possible.

Jayhawk champions visit State Capitol
Governor Sebelius and state legislators honored three victorious KU teams, with the Rock Chalk Chant echoing through the State Capitol as fans took photos and got autographs from the team members.

Legislature reaches half-time of the session
The Kansas Legislature has officially reached "half-time" of the 2008 session, with countless hours spent reviewing and debating hundreds of individuals bills and amendments. By and large, the session has been consumed with the debate over energy needs and specifically the proposed coal-fired power plants near Holcomb.
