Governor Sebelius and state legislators honored three victorious KU teams today, with the Rock Chalk Chant echoing through the State Capitol as fans took photos and got autographs from the team members.
Members of the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship team, the 2008 debate team, which finished first in the year-end national rankings, and the 2008 Orange Bowl Champion Football team were all congratulated for their accomplishments during the visit.
Governor Sebelius issued a proclamation and the House and Senate both passed resolutions honoring the teams. See below for photos from the event (Credits: Jeff Jacobsen/Kansas Athletics).
